What makes a good entrepreneur?
An entrepreneur is someone who takes risks and makes things happen. I love the idea of this risk which creates business, develops employment and adds multiple benefits to people around us. Not only does it take guts but also a mad passion to make things happen for an entrepreneur. The word entrepreneur is derived from Entreprende which means to undertake a risk! The risks however indicate the scale of being in entrepreneurship.
You’ll have seen most of these covered under the article qualities of an entrepreneur. However, I wanted to reassert that these qualities are not comprehensive. The world of startups keeps changing. The challenges are immense and we ought to bring our best or sometimes just good enough to make it all work.
What makes a good entrepreneur?
This is a difficult question to answer. There’s no one skill or trait that makes a good entrepreneur. The only test of a great entrepreneur is that the business they built survives over time. Sometimes, we even think about the size of a company, the impact it has made etc. For instance, we can view Amazon or AirBnB as great startups because they’ve made it big. Everything comes back to the purpose of entrepreneurship and your business vision. It can’t always be about scale. Although a startup is about growth or scale, being a good entrepreneur is more about your own values and the purpose of your business.
